As if Jessica Jones needs another reason to be surly. In her Fantasy Comic League debut, Jessica rightfully earns the “Hero of the Week” title after the official scoring is revised to exclude the non-mainstream Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout! comic. Even though the Guardians look to have a strong month, buoyed by their second cinematic adventure, they do not fare as well as originally expected in the first week. Their best performance comes from Star-Lord who places in sixth with six points. Rounding out the top performers in week one of the new season are Deadpool in third with eight points, who is sandwiched by the youth movement; two Champions, Miles Morales with nine points and Nova with seven points, and Jean Grey with seven points, as well. Despite the big hullabaloo over Secret Empire officially starting, Steve Rogers’ villainous turn only nets him four points.
Hero and power usages are a combination of all Fantasy Comic League divisions: Midtown, Multiverse and Wakanda. League participants should cross reference the official points with their hero roster and drafted powers for their heroes’ scores.
