The Mixed Marvel Arts Podcast experiences the highs and lows of Marvel television! Brian and Shaun review Marvel’s latest small screen offerings. Netflix’s Iron Fist fails to impress the hosts as they highlight its lackluster action and sub par casting. On the other hand, FX’s Legion raises the bar for what a comic book television show can do. Legion manages to deliver pleasing imagery, enjoyable music and a delightful cast, surrounded by some thrilling horror scenes. In the opening of the show, Brian and Shaun briefly discuss the latest Thor: Ragnarok trailer and the upcoming New Warriors television show starring Squirrel Girl. The duo also acknowledges the recent controversies striking Marvel comics, including the hidden messages found in X-Men: Gold and the poorly worded excuse that diversity in comics has hurt their sales figures.
