Will 2018 be the year that Old Man Logan cuts into Peter Parker’s control of the Fantasy Comic League? If the first three weeks of the year are any indication, coupled with Logan’s impressive back half of 2017, Spider-Man may have a challenger for his crown. Logan outperformed Parker 17 to 11 and captured the top spot to claim his first “Hero of the Week” title of the year. Peter Parker had to settle for a second place finish in which he finished off the “Venom, Inc.” storyline. Falcon took third place with nine points. He led the ragtag group of Avengers who had not been frozen in the “No Surrender” story. Wolverine scored an impressive eight points in her own title, good enough for fourth place. Doctor Strange made a deal with the Void, Sentry’s inner-demon, to challenge the new Sorcerer Supreme, Loki. Combined with a bedside visit to the Mighty Thor, the good doctor scored seven points and placed fifth, tied with the Vision who made two surprise team-up appearances in Champions and Spectacular Spider-Man. The ties rolled in for the bottom half of the top ten rankings. A trio of wisecrackers – Deadpool, Clint Barton and the Human Torch – tied with six points in a three-way tie for sixth place. Five heroes battled it out to claim the tenth spot in the rankings. Black Cat and the size-changing heroes Ms. Marvel and Nadia Pym, and the flame- and lightning-riding Ghost Rider and Thor, all tied with five points to cap the top heroes of the week.

Hero and power usages are a combination of all Fantasy Comic League divisions: Knowhere, Midtown, Multiverse and Wakanda. League participants should cross-reference the official points with their hero roster and drafted powers for their heroes’ scores.
