The youth movement led the way into the new year and a new season of the Fantasy Comic League. Out in front of that movement was Ms. Marvel and her young team of heroes, the Champions. Kamala took the first “Hero of the Week” title of the year after she led the Champions in their own book, as well as a brief appearance in Nova’s title. Ms. Marvel also visited Wasp in her solo book to give her a total of nine points. Nova got a boost to second thanks to a Champions-filled solo title. He scored eight points. Three more teen heroes tied for third place with five points each. Fellow Champions Cyclops and Hulk were joined by Kate Bishop. Deadpool snagged sixth place all by himself with a modest four-point appearance in the quacky Deadpool the Duck book. As if determined to not let the Champions have all the fun in the first week of the year, the Avengers all showed up, but none of them managed to break three points in their comic. Sam Wilson, Peter Parker, Thor and Vision tied Logan, as well as Miles Morales, to round out the top 10 heroes. Non-regular league member, Misty Knight, represented the only other drafted hero to score a point when she appeared in Sam Wilson’s Captain America book.

Hero and power usages are a combination of all Fantasy Comic League divisions: Midtown and Wakanda. League participants should cross-reference the official points with their hero roster and drafted powers for their heroes’ scores.
