Peter Parker took no chances in the second to last week of the year as he looks to secure his position atop the annual Fantasy Comic League power rankings. The Spectacular Spider-Man scored 15 points between three comic appearances, including a team up in each book. He edged out his strongest competition by one point to secure another “Hero of the Week” title. Logan, a prime candidate for second place in the yearly tally, scored 14 points and finished just behind Spider-Man. Thor took third place with a 10 point week and a well-rounded appearance in her own title. Deadpool, who should be well-positioned to place in the top three heroes for the year, only managed fourth place with nine points. Hulk led his Champions teammates in mourning the supposed loss of Viv Vision and coming to blows with the Avengers, scored six points for a fifth place finish. Five heroes rounded out the top ten power rankings with five points apiece. Black Panther earned his points by offering a hand to the Spectacular Spider-Man. Daredevil revealed his identity to his fellow Defenders. Hawkeye’s search for Black Widow led him to a team up with Bucky Barnes. Ms. America continued her battle with Exterminatrix and her Chavez Cyborgs. Hercules took the brunt of the Champions frustrations while also arm wrestling Thor in exchange for his help. Venom continued to have an underwhelming performance despite an event focusing on him, while the rest of the Champions were in need of cooling down in order to cope with their recent loss.

Hero and power usages are a combination of all Fantasy Comic League divisions: Knowhere, Midtown, Multiverse and Wakanda. League participants should cross reference the official points with their hero roster and drafted powers for their heroes’ scores.
