The Mixed Marvel Arts Podcast dances with dragons and defends the indefensible. Brian and Shaun talk television and the popular fantasy creatures which starred in them. Disney XD debuted two new animated series; the new Spider-Man show and the Ducktales reboot, the latter of which featured a gold hunting dragon. Despite not being a Marvel property, the hosts also spend a good deal of time discussing season seven of the dragon-heavy, fantasy epic Game of Thrones. The main focus of the episode surrounds Netflix’s latest Marvel series, The Defenders. Dragons played a pretty significant role in that series as well, whether it was the role of the Daughters of the Dragon, Iron Fist’s connection to Shou-Lao or the importance of the Defenders dining at the Royal Dragon Chinese restaurant. Sadly, good things in the show were as rare as a real life dragon. In the end, Brian and Shaun wrapped up the final standings of the Fantasy Comic League’s second season of 2017.
