Episode 79 – Questioning Logan’s Awesomeness

The Mixed Marvel Arts Podcast hacks and slashes its way through the critically acclaimed movie Logan! Brian and Shaun debate the subjectivity of the reviews for Hugh Jackman’s final turn as Wolverine. While both hosts are in agreement that the movie and character were long overdue for a bloody rampage at the box office, they differ on what makes it appealing. Shaun praises the movie as a character-driven finale to the X-Men saga, while Brian is more convinced that the fans and critics are being a bit biased. The MMA review staff is in full swing and the hosts debate the merits of subjective opinions in reviews. Shaun charges himself with the task of ranking close to 100 superhero-related movies and Brian is pleased to see the Kingpin (or rather the actor who portrays the Kingpin) try to be a positive force in the negative world of social media. Episode artwork: Promotional material for 20th Century Fox’s Logan.
